Day Seven...clean (pants) and sober (bottles)

After the last couple of  Dr. visits we decided to talk to Jonas seriously about giving up the bottle.
We talked to him for about a month off and on and every time without a doubt he'd say NO! I'm not sure what exactly pushed us to do it, but we went cold turkey this past Saturday! He's doing great so far. I was ready for a fight because Jonas drank his bottle throughout the day especially in the mornings, nap times, and at bed time. I for sure thought he'd be a wreck! Of course he's asked for it a couple times, but after I remind him that all the bottles are gone... remarkably he's fine. Since he's no longer consuming an extra 60oz's he's not having to pee as often...so potty training has been going fantastic as well!! He's even gotten over his phobia of pooping in the toilet! I'm expecting him to slim down a bit...cause even though we were giving him organic fat free milk there's still 90 calories per cup! Let's not even do the math!! I'm ashamed! I really couldn't ask for a better child...he's such a good eater (loves veggies) and adapts so well when you take time out to explain things to him. So, lets celebrate seven days sober (lol) and accident free!! Yippee!!! (not to mention the cash back in the purse...that milk $6/gal and diaper $30/box business will make you consider getting a second job!!)

So cute...I miss him this small!

Notice the bottle under the table...LOL
but he's tearing up that broccoli!

Best Friends

There is an eighty four year age gap between these two...
but they are best friends!
Jonas instantly formed a bond with his great grandmother and the two are now inseparable! He follows her around from room to room, twirls his hands in her hair, and colors with her every chance he gets! She is leaving back home soon so we took the opportunity to capture a few memories...enjoy!
